Fuzzy to Clear : “a Real life Goal process”

I had the opportunity to facilitate a session at the FOLD again. This time the focus was on “Reaching REAL goals”. We used the collaborating techniques of games and visuals to clarify, connect and collaborate to reach Fuzzy goals. It was a delightful process with a lot of learning for me.

Pl find the report of the session in the FOLD bulletin.

Here’s a recap of the session with Ashley for those of you who missed the fun on 17th September 2011.

VISUAL LEARNING – FUZZY to CLEAR

Ashley is not new to the FOLD & his session this time too was a fun filled one. If the last one in March was sheer MAGIC this one lead us to the power of clarity. When you set out on your journey there are three processes happening Examining, Experiment & Exploring. If all these happen only then will your journey find a proper closure. The process of moving into a game process of Emotional, Intuitive or sensory & progressive movement makes your fuzzy goal clear for you.

We started off with games! Follow the leader & then a game of football with minimal instructions .We got started when specifics were given & then we were asked to draw our own game plan. All were done by the participants who now were completely involved. The ability to see the task assigned, responsibilities & the strategies of the winning team were analyzed. The power of Visual language was beautifully done with the help of a book mark given to each of us with some symbols. Using those symbols we had to write our names with our left hand (a real challenge to those who always write with the right). We also had to sketch our dreams. Challenging & interesting!

It was the last activity which got everyone completely hooked. Divided into two teams, we were asked to discuss a “fuzzy” goal & then see how they can take it forward to make it a “Real” goal. Charts were given & we were asked to present it with a headline, a cover picture, the ideas & quotes of team members about challenges & how they were overcome. “Eco Existence” was the fuzzy goal of one team & “Bangalore breathes again” the goal of the other team. It concluded with team presentations.
A fun filled & enjoyable evening. Thanks Ashley we were clear on that!
