credit crisis visualized

One of the things we all remember is the recent credit crisis (end of 2008) and here we have Jonathan Jarvis beautifully visualizing the whole concept in a clear, understandable manner.

It is a set of simple clear animated infographic woven together to create a story that tells the truth of the credit crisis.

What started as a quest to understand for himself – the who, what, when, where, how and why of the credit crisis has resulted in this:

The Crisis of Credit Visualized

argues that designers have the ability to see a complex situation, then turn around and communicate it to others. By
giving graphic form to the credit crisis, it becomes comprehensible. Not only do economic activities take shape, but
new relationships can emerge between these shapes.
My interest in the project stems from 3 primary sources: my simple desire to understand it, diagramming work I
conducted at UNICEF, and my earlier motion design work.

It shows how visual thinkers and designers have the ability to see a complex situation, then discover the core messages and patterns and then communicate it to others. By giving graphic form to the credit crisis, it becomes comprehensible in this video.

Oh! be careful little eyes what you see..

Oh! be careful little mouth what you say…

While this is very much relevant today, we many times forget what we put into our mouths – oh! yes – I am talking about what we eat!

We are enticed by the taste of different kinds of food – and we love all those foods which end up causing us more harm than good. We eat only for the taste and not for its goodness. Every nutritionist guides us to eat better – eat for the whole body rather than for the tongue. But how many of us really heed this?

Instead of so  many words being poured out about our eating habits, we need to use relevant visuals to create awareness about our eating habits.

Well, we have here a very creative video telling what mouths think about our style of eating.
