Storyboard@PocketMod
One of the needed tools for presentations is the storyboard. While the storyboard has been used beautifully by all media professionals and digital storytellers, it has been avoided by presenters. One reason is the wrong way of creating presentations – text, bullets and information dump!
A storyboard is a platform to craft a story with the right visuals, language, audio etc. Used rightly, it can weave a powerful visual story presentation. Now Cliff of BBP has created a beautiful storyboard to use with PowerPoint 2007, and I would recommend the same for all of you. Personally, I always create my storyboard using pen on paper before getting onto PowerPoint.
Now recently I just checked out this very useful and creative site called POCKETMOD
And that was one real, cute experience. They have crafted a way to use an A4 sheet of paper in ways, which are concrete and dependable! Now that’s what I call ‘thinking out of the box’
Now I really admire what these folks are doing, and the one thing I found very useful for me was the storyboard which can be created on an A4 sheet. I now create my storyboard using that pocketmod tool.
So what about you?
